After a long period in alpha and soft launch, we've decided we won't be pursuing further development and will be closing the game on Thursday, January 30th of 2020. As you can imagine, this was not an easy decision to make and we would like to thank every single one of you that played, followed or showed interest in Rumble League until now.
We set out on this journey to make a fun, competitive game for mobile and we're very grateful for everyone that helped us achieve that. That includes everyone that provided valuable feedback and suggestions, those that made amazing content like videos, fanart and even Superstar backstories that have enriched and informed some of our decisions for Rumble League.
Unfortunately, there were other aspects of the game we thought weren't quite "it" and those were the ones that have influenced this decision.
So what happens now?
Rumble League will continue running until its closure date with a winter-themed version of the Seaside Tropics map and the new Yeti Trek season.
There will be a non-themed season following Yeti Trek and until the game is shut down on January 30th. After this date, the game will no longer be available to download from the stores and it will become unplayable in devices it's installed in.
We'd love to make the rest of the game's lifetime all about you, the community, so we made a few changes to support that.
Quickplay and Royale now award trophies, the ranked queue was removed and we've relaxed the trophy win/loss ratio. This should improve matching times and make gathering trophies a more fun experience.
Always wanted an emote or outfit for your favourite Superstar? Now is your chance! Starting today, diamonds are no longer available to buy in the shop. Instead, you can win them for free via the Yeti Trek challenges starting on Sunday, November 3rd.
If you have any cool stories of your time playing Rumble League, fanart or any other cool game content you didn't get to share with us before, send it our way. We’ll be using our social media to showcase these and celebrate the good times you’ve had playing Rumble League!
Until when will the game be available in the store?
It will remain available until January 30th.
Can I play offline?
No, Rumble League is only available to play online.
Will the game be brought back at another time?
There are no plans to bring back the game, unfortunately.
Will you be selling the IP to be developed by someone else?
There are no plans to do that.
Will we still be receiving the SEA Slam Prizes?
Of course! Everyone will be receiving their prizes as planned. As per our partners handling the prize money, prize processing is underway and it will be paid out within 90 days of the tournament's end.
